Introduction

The Solution

The campaign encouraged students and staff to report any leaks or issues with taps, cisterns or showers in exchange for a free coffee. This creative solution resulted in over 60 leaks being reported across campus in a short period.

Thanks to the campaign's success, the constant flow issue at the campus was entirely stopped, reducing water wastage to zero.

Outcome

By stopping the constant flow of 81,000 litres of water per month, the university saved £162 in water costs every month.
